Parker Ingraham
Parker’s love of gardening started in childhood. Both parents were avid gardeners and had her working beside them since she was a little girl. She holds a bachelor of science degree from NC State University in People, Plants and the Environment. Post-grad, Parker worked in the NC state integrated fungal research lab, studying the effects of climate change on the wheat seed microbiome. The job integrated lab and field research which solidified her love of the intimate details of plant life as well as her clear need to be working outdoors.
After her time in lab, Parker spent one season at Metrolina Greenhouses before relocating back to Asheville to work as an independent gardener before coming on with Green Truck Gardens in the winter of 2024.
Moss and mushrooms are Parker’s passion in the garden. The way the tiny world that exists in the soil structure or in a small section of moss in the corner of a garden can be unraveled and explored.
